Stacy Irwin

Welcome, so glad you’re here! Early in my career, I started my journey as a mental health counselor working with children, teens and adults. I worked in a variety of settings before eventually switching over to school counseling. After 23 years of being an elementary school counselor, I’m excited to be back in a clinic doing therapy! No matter the setting, I love ministering to others and helping them navigate through difficult times in their lives. I firmly believe that no one is meant to walk through this life alone, and I recognize that we all need a little extra support sometimes. As we go throughout life, we all endure trials and I consider it an honor to help others who are struggling and be a part of their healing journey. 

One of my main areas of special interest is working with and empowering adoptees and their families. I was adopted at seven days old through a private/closed adoption, and I also have a daughter who is adopted from China. My real life experience and training surrounding adoption allow me to have a deeper understanding and compassion for those who are walking this road. I love helping people find their worth and purpose, no matter their life circumstances. Adoption is a beautiful thing, but I know that it can also be very difficult and isolating. I would welcome the opportunity to come alongside you or your family wherever you are on this journey.  

I look forward to working with clients of all ages at Grace River. I love empowering others by giving them the tools they need to deal with whatever stressors are going on in their lives. Whether it’s grief, anxiety, depression, self-worth, relationship issues, ADHD or many other concerns, you don’t have to face them alone. I look forward to meeting with you soon!
