Alex Sanchez

I am currently in the process of becoming a licensed professional counselor.

I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma. I am currently in the process of finishing my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Divine Mercy University. I will be awarded the degree at the end of my internship here at Grace River.

I worked as a missionary on college campuses for five years meeting with college students, forming relationships, and diving into deep areas of their lives. Since then I have been working full-time as the Director of Campus Ministry for a local church for the past 4 years.

Understanding and accepting ourselves are key to loving ourselves. It’s been a growing desire of mine to walk with people in a way that is gentle and compassionate where they feel safe to explore their thoughts, feelings, memories, and experiences in a nonjudgmental setting.

It is easy to feel alone, stuck, or behind in life. My goal for therapy is that in our time together a client will feel these things decrease. I would like every client to walk away with a sense of feeling authentically known and cared for in a way that they feel a renewed clarity of purpose in their life.
