I’ve wanted to help people for as long as I can remember. I knew very young that my desire was to be with people, know people, and walk with them on their journeys. In the process, I have also come to understand and know myself. This process isn’t always easy but it’s worth it. I love what I do. I’ve been blessed with parents and mentors who have taught me to seek understanding and never judge.

When I first began as a therapist, I felt strongly that there had to be additional ways to help people work through their struggles.  I began to learn more about the brain and how it works in dealing with trauma and the challenges life can bring. I also studied more complete ways to help people heal. This led me to specialize in training and education in the approaches listed below.

I began to realize the lack of therapists who are well trained and knowledgeable in working with children.  So, I decided to further my skills and abilities in this area.  It has been a fascinating journey and I love working with these little people.  It is truly a joy. I do, however, continue to work with people all of ages.

I love this quote by Mr. Rogers, “…When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary.  The people we trust with that important talk can help us know we are not alone.”
