Julie Young 

As a LMFT-Candidate at Grace River Christian Counseling in Norman, Oklahoma, I welcome individuals ages 5 and up. Sessions are 50 minutes long and are scheduled with varying frequency based on need.

I have always been a person who loves stories. I love reading them in books, watching them on the big screen, and most of all, hearing them from the people who live them. Stories are how we put words to our experience. Some of the stories I hear are love stories, others are tragedies, some are mysteries, and all are memoirs. I love my job because people allow me to be with them in their world through the stories they tell.

Our sessions will be a time to focus entirely on you. I aim to offer a calm, comfortable, and safe environment where you can speak freely. My approach seeks genuine relationship and confident trust when working with my clients. The topic and influence of faith in our sessions is determined completely by you. I am a person of deep faith but respectfully leave the discussion of faith out of sessions unless my client invites the topic. My clients are accepted for who they are and exactly where they are in life without judgement. My passion is to make each session as creatively unique as each client. No two clients process exactly the same. It is my job to know my clients and to develop creative strategies that allow them to connect to therapy in the best, most personal way possible. My intention is for every client to have added meaning, clarity, and hope in their lives. Our time together should help equip you for the challenges you face and always leave you feeling better and stronger as you move forward. Together we will create new goals and embrace positive changes.
