Kim Adams
I have just begun my second career in counseling. Before that I taught school as a special education teacher for 22 years, during my time teaching I found myself desiring to help students connect with God for healing and growth in ways that were not academic.
My husband of 35 years and I have fostered and adopted from the Department of Human Services. I am familiar with the challenges that this can bring to a family. Whether or not your family has experienced fostering and adoption, I want to help you navigate parenthood with Godly scriptural doctrine, so your family can experience the fullness of life that God has for you.
Counseling Services – I am a born-again, Spirit-filled Christian and I am very active in my local church and teaching in our youth department. I also have a heart for community outreach and missionary projects. I have helped many young people find their way of applying biblical concepts to their lives and relationships specific to their individual needs. My approach to counseling integrates theology and psychology by applying various therapeutic models and methods through a biblical worldview focused on helping the client apply biblical truth to their everyday life and relationships in the most effective way for the individual. Therapy models and methods will vary according to the individual or families need.
