Michelle Strain

Michelle Strain was born and raised in Norman, OK. She has years of experience as a licensed school counselor in public schools. In addition to working at Grace River, Michelle teaches psychology courses at a local university.

Michelle is married to her husband, Shannon. They have 3 boys: Alex, Ryan, and Will. They also are parents to 4 dogs (Buddy, Mollie, Lily, and Sunny) and 3 cats (Hope, Gracie, and Scout). Michelle has experience using a therapy dog in her counseling practice. She currently partners in her practice with Sally, a 7 lb poodle-chihuahua mix.

Michelle believes in meeting clients where they are and helping them with their needs. She has a special interest in anxiety, depression, trauma, crisis, building health relationships, and becoming your best self.
